Delivering a website design to help DJ Reggie Nell keep booming!

OTG had the pleasure of designing and building a website for a friend of the company DJ Reggie Nell. Already a very popular DJ in the DC Metro Area with numerous appearances across the country as well this was one the most high visibility sites to date. Also, this project was different from previous sites as it was for a personal brand already with a large following instead of a traditional small business. Being the case, the first idea Keith at OTG pitched was to have the first thing visitors to the site see is an image of Reggie doing what he does like no other – rocking the crowd from the DJ booth! Reggie, being a navy social media user, immediately agreed and was able to supply the perfect image to bring home the idea.

Reggie’s focus for his site was to allow new and existing clientele to book him directly online, integrating with Instagram and integrating with SoundCloud. OTG wanted to ensure that visitor’s unfamiliar with DJ Reggie Nell could get to know him through the site via a portfolio of past events, a brief profile and highlighting what makes him unique and better than other DJ’s. OTG implemented a one page website design that provides visitor with all essential information to not only learn more about Reggie, but book him as well. All without leaving the homepage. Also, the homepage also displays some of the venues he has performed in which builds his resume for someone who maybe unfamiliar. One additional feature of the homepage are client testimonials featuring comments from event promoters, corporate representatives and party goers who have experience Reggie’s talents firsthand.

Lastly, one additional page focused on Bookings was built to ensure the online booking process for visitors was hassle free. The page allows users to select dates via a calendar and specify time slots for the events. As DJ Reggie Nell often has multiple events on the same day the calendar will display partially booked days and allow booking for events on the same day. However, It will not allow the same time slot to be booked twice on the same day. The calendar sends email notifications to Reggie allowing him to confirm, decline or suggest a follow-up conversation to iron out additional event details. Even the calendar time slots were customized to represent what Reggie felt were typical event time slots.
